Basil and Bacon Pasta with Briette Creamy & Mild

Serves 2

Ready in 30 minutes


INGREDIENTS:

1 Briette Creamy & Mild, sliced

6 oz of angel hair pasta

½ small, sweet onion, thinly sliced

1 clove garlic, minced

½ cup pasta water

2 pieces of thick cut cooked bacon, cut into crumbles

8 large fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces


INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Bring water to boil and cook to angel hair to desired doneness.

2. In a skillet over medium heat cook bacon until crispy and set aside, once cooled chop into crumbles.

3. To the same skillet with the bacon grease, add thin sliced onions and lightly caramelize.

Add garlic and saute together until garlic is fragrant.

4. Deglaze the skillet with pasta water and add sliced Briette stirring constantly until Briette is melted.

5. Add pasta to skillet and stir until combined.

6. Transfer to a plate or serving vessel, top with bacon crumbles and torn fresh basil leaves.
